June 17

Things are going pretty good this week. I went to the quilt shop today. Tomorrow I will go if not called into work. I am providing the main course for dinner. I made tortellini lasagna, yummy. I made it tonight so that if I get called in then I can just pop it in real quick after work tomorrow. But since I thought ahead I will not be called in. I have had two doses of Enbrel so far. No changes, I think it will take a few more to get results. The picture I have posted here is from a garden. This one is a little malformed. It is a small lilly in the middle of a big one. Pretty cool! The other yellow ones were the size of the middle one. I also got a handful of white ones and a couple of pinks ones. All I have for now. Thanks for listening to my ramblings.

Where to start.......

Well my goal is to be better about this. It's been far to long. I have been busy for the most part. I have been dating and enjoying my time. I have been going to date night with the ladies from the quilt shop. The most exciting thing I have done is the Photography Symposium. I got some great pictures from that. I will try to post those very soon. I have put some up on my facebook. I really can't think of anything else to write about. Well really I say that as I think that there is Enbrel in the fridge. I was approved for it through the insurance. I start it tomorrow. I am excited and hopeful that it will provide results for me. Time will tell. Mom is supposed to take pictures so I will have before and after pictures. So will post the before once I get them.

LIFE

Life has been busy lately. Lots of stuff going on. Kindergarten has ended for me. So I have been trying to catch my breath. I have been house sitting since Tuesday. I will post pictures of the dogs I am watching. They are so sweet. I went to Eureaka Springs this last weekend. I also helped a friend plant some plants I will get those up too. Iknow you all think I haven't been keeping up with my other blog but I really have, just haven't taken the time to post the pictures. I will do that today. Ok well I can't really think of very much more to say. So I shall get pictures up now.

We had an assembly today, Rockin Rooster Assembly. Each teacher gets to pick a student that exceeds the teachers expectations. Our afternoon was a huge wash, but they had fun. They enjoyed their eggs, even those that thought they wouldn't. I told them they should try it and they might be surprised. They were pleasantly surprised and quick to tell me I was right. It was nice. When our rockin rooster made it back into the room they bombarded him with a group hug, I ran for my camera to get a shot and I got I was so proud of myself to get it. They tried to look at me I told them to look down knowing I was not wanting any faces in it. Then about five minutes later our rooster was putting his shirt over his head and dancing. And I caught that as well. So I didn't have to heart out any faces.

More Pictures

There are more kindergarten pictures on my other blog. I posted a couple over here and thought I would let whoever cares know there are more. We made hats and masks and today made puppets out of paper sacks. I have a few more days left in the class, the teacher should be back sooner than the school had expected.

Ee is for Egg!

Our letter this week was Ee for EGG! A students uncle brought us some Banty Chicken eggs. I added the regular egg to show how small they were. I hard boiled them and took them in for snack for Friday. The kids loved it! They thought it was coolest snack ever!

Kindergarten

I just wanted to let you all know that I am doing alright......lol. I am teaching kindergarten right now. I will be in the same room for a few weeks. The teachers husband is having surgery so she will be out for a few weeks. The classroom is a lot of fun. The kids are wild and crazy. Basicly as long as I stick to the reading times and what I need to do for that I can whatever else I want to within reason. So it wil be a lot of fun for the next few weeks. I will try to keep you updated. My goal is to get better on here but you know I can only write about so much. Have a good weekend all.

My First Quilt

Here is my first quilt. I left the image on the bigger side so you can see the detail in it. The right side was cropped out to avoid other things in the picture. Its just the quilt top, it needs to sewed together with a bottom and batting in the middle. Sorry for the lack of terminology. I am pretty proud of it. I am told after this I can do anything. I am signed up for a class tomorrow to learn some more new things.....thank you mom and dad :)

What I have been up to......

I have been diligently quilting. I have finished the top of my quilt. I say my quilt because I (or really mom) to keep it. I really like it a ton. I will post pictures when I get a good one of it. Since I decided to keep it I have made a wall hanging for the baby's room. I really like it too, but will be willing to part with it. I am ready to make a few more things. So stay tuned for what is to come next. We went to dinner tonight at Colton's, its a steakhouse where you throw peanuts on the ground. We were being pelted but others in our group. The owner of the quilt shop, her husband's birthday was today. So this was the celebration.

This is short but thought I would keep you all updated.

Cold

Its gonna get cold around here. We are getting Ice and sleet in the next few days. This morning the birds were stocking up on what they could. I got a few pictures and they are not great. I zoomed in as much as I could and then cropped them. They are not in focus as I would like but I thought I would share. The bottom one is like a Where's Waldo picture. Look closely and you will see more than one bird in it.
