First day of School

This was the first day of school. Sorry its been a few weeks now. Their mom stayed home to take them on the first day, we just went over to take pictures. Brett is starting first grade, Shay is starting third grade, and Katie is starting seventh grade. They all like their teachers. And are enjoying being back in school.

Got my baby back!

My bug was towed from San Diego it was down at Jen's for a bit. She towed it attached to her new Motorhome last weekend. Thanks to her and Ben!

Mint leaf bloom

My mint leaves that are tucked into my spider plant that I got at a yard sale started blooming last week. Really cool. I put them outside on a plant stand that I got at a yard sale and it magicly started blooming. I was so impressed. I also got two plants for my birthday. One was a blooming plant and the other a small cactus garden in a ceramic turtle. The turtles like to find refuge under the new plant stand. They also like the big cactus garden that I got a while back.

James and the Giant Peach

I have been reading James and the Giant Peach when the kids are over. A couple of chapters a night. This night my voice was gone and so Troy sat down with them and read. He is not as good as I am the kids told him. I really get into storytelling. The book is good and I forgot how good it really is.

JULY 27th Happy Birthday

For my actual birthday we went over to Troy's sisters house. We BBQ'ed and had an ice cream cake at my request. YUMMY! It even had candles in it. Lots of fun was had.

This is Annalee, I was her swim teacher, she is Troys niece. She is full of life. The kids swam all day.

Birthday Trip to the Zoo

For my birthday we went to the zoo. We had a lot of fun. The kids and I had no idea where we were headed. So it was a nice surprise. It got hot fast so we spent just the better part of the morning looking at the animals. The tigers, seals, flamingos, and many more were to be seen. The turtles were in mating season. That was interesting with two kids around. Good birthday!

This is a picture of an orange dragonfly that was teasing this bird and the dragonfly lost. I caught a picture of it as the bird caught it in his beak.

This guy was playing peak-a-boo......he was really cool!

The maniray aquarium was awesome......even got to touch a shark.
